Save Money and have a Better Crank Current prices for new import car crankshafts are $500-$2,500. Instead of buying a new crankshaft, you can now have your old one remanufactured to better than new specs for a fraction of that price. We take your old crankshaft, machine the journals down to smooth, fresh surfaces, and build them back up with a hard nickel alloy we call Paecolloy. They are then machined back to standard size on a true centerline, with all throws properly indexed and radiused. The result is a crankshaft that is actually tougher than the original, with hard, standard size journal surfaces that will outlast new crankshafts.
Warranty: We have been building crankshafts for sportscar enthusiasts for over thirty-five years, and have perfected the process to the point that we are willing to offer the following warranty: Paecolloy warranty: Our Paecolloy treatment is guaranteed against failure for as long as you have the crankshaft, with no time or mileage limit, provided that adequate lubrication pressure is maintained and that bearing failure does not occur. If the Paecolloy surface should fail, we will completely rework the crankshaft at no charge.
Acceptable cranks: Crankshafts can be rebuilt or accepted for exchange even if they have badly scored, burned, or gouged journals (although there will be an extra charge for the damaged journals). Crankshafts cannot be accepted if they are broken or have cracks in them. We can magnaflux your crank to check for cracks. Crankshafts purchased outright (no trade-in) are guaranteed against breakage for six months, provided that you have the crankshaft glasspeened to stress relieve it. In addition, there is the lifetime warranty on the Paecolloy surface.
Delivery Time: The time required to Paecolloy your crank will normally be 6 to 10 weeks, depending on our work load. If you want a crank from our stock that has already been processed, we can give one day service if we have one in stock.
Paecolloy Price Schedule: The following prices are for either remanufacturing your old crank or for exchanging it for one from our stock, already reworked. If you do not have an exchange crank, then you will have to add on a core charge from the core charge table, in addition to the Paecolloy charge.

Crank stroking ----------- $150.00 per rod journal plus the cost of the PAECOLLOY treatment (also check the preceeding page on Stroker Kits for more info on stroking).
Nitrided cranks: Crankshafts that have been previously nitrided to harden them (Alfa, Porsche, etc) are more time consuming for us to process, and there is an extra charge of $150.00 for processing these cranks. Our Paecolloy is so hard that there is no need to nitride the Paecolloy crankshafts.
