OP-6000: For street use, this cam gives lots of acceleration without being temperamental. The best power range is 2800-6000 RPM and will rev to 7000. INTAKE: 25/61 EXHAUST: 65/21 DURATION: 266 LIFT: .400" NECESSARY MODS: PAECO inner and outer springs, retainers, and valve lifters (A 32/36DGV Weber carb, an exhaust header, and racing ignition will add even more power but are not mandatory.)
OP-6500: For slaloms and heavy street use, this grind gives tremendous acceleration and a very nice boost in top speed. Best power range is 3200-6500 and it will rev to 7300 RPM. INTAKE: 27/63 EXHAUST: 67/23 DURATION: 270 LIFT: .435" NECESSARY MODS: 10-11:1 compression, PAECO inner and outer springs and retainers, PAECO lifters, exhaust header, racing ignition, and a Weber 32/36 DGV carb (A modified cylinder head will give even more power but is not mandatory.)
OP-7000: For all-out racing only, this grind delivers fantastic power in the 3800-7000 rpm range and will rev to 7800. Because of the high RPM it is for well prepared engines only. INTAKE: 36/72 EXHAUST: 76/32 DURATION: 288 LIFT: .462" NECESSARY MODS: 12-13:1 compression, PAECO inner and outer springs with titanium retainers and PAECO solid lifters, dual Weber DCOE carbs, racing ignition, modified cylinder head, exhaust header, and a high ratio rear axle.
