Nissan KA-24E (SOHC engines)
KA24E-6000: This street grind is designed for torque and good acceleration. Best power range is 2600-6000 RPM, with a peak of 7000. It has a smooth fast idle and is not temperamental. INTAKE: 25/61 EXHAUST: 65/21 DURATION: 266 LIFT: .400"
Necessary mods: PAECO valve springs and retainers (an exhaust header, Primapower exhaust, racing ignition, aluminum flywheel, and Weber carb will all provide more power, but are optional).
KA24E-6600: For slaloms and heavy street use, this cam produces very strong acceleration in the 3000-6600 RPM range. The peak of 7400 gives a nice boost in top speed also. INTAKE: 34/66 EXHAUST: 70/30 DURATION: 280 LIFT: .492"
Necessary mods: 10-11:1 compression, full PAECO valve train, racing ignition, exhaust header, Weber carb (a modified cylinder head, aluminum flywheel, and Primapower exhaust will provide more power, but are optional).
KA24E-7500: This all-out racing cam delivers tremendous power in the 4500-7500 range, and will rev to over 8000. It requires meticulous engine preparation, but is a race winner! INTAKE: 38/70 EXHAUST: 74/34 DURATION: 288 LIFT: .537"
Mandatory mods: 12-14:1 compression, full PAECO valve train, exhaust headers, racing ignition, fully modified cylinder head, increased carburetion, high ratio rear axle, aluminum flywheel.

KA24DE-6500: These cams are for hot street use, and will provide strong acceleration. The best power range is 3000-6500, and they will rev to 7500 in a well prepared engine. INTAKE: 28/62 EXHAUST: 68/22 DURATION: 270 LIFT: .403"
Necessary mods: PAECO inner & outer springs & aluminum retainers. A 1.0 to 1.5:1 boost in compression will give even more power but is not mandatory.
KA24DE-7200: These cams are for very hot street and strip use. The best power range is 3500-7200 and it will rev to over 8000. INTAKE: 30/70 EXHAUST: 70/30 DURATION: 280 LIFT: .427"
Necessary mods: PAECO inner & outer springs, titanium retainers, 11:1 compression and a modified cylinder head. An aluminum flywheel will add even more acceleration and a Kevlar clutch is recommended for reliability.
KA24DE-8000: These are all-out racing cams with tremendous power in the 4500-8000 RPM range. They will rev to 9000 in a well-prepared engine. INTAKE: 34/78 EXHAUST: 78/34 DURATION: 302 LIFT: .452"
Necessary mods: PAECO inner & outer springs, titanium retainers, 13-14:1 compression, fully modified cylinder head, chrome-moly or titanium con rods, aluminum flywheel, Kevlar clutch.
