Spring recess cutter to enlarge the spring recesses in the head to accept competition springs $75.00 --- (Refundable for credit less a $25.00 resharpening charge)
(1) Early model MG's (through '72) used a pedestal lifter and a short pushrod. Later models used a cup-type lifter and a long pushrod. The latter arrangement is better (and cheaper) and can be used on the earlier models if the pushrods and lifters are changed out as a set.
(2) PAECO valve springs have an outer coil diameter that is larger than the stock spring diameter, and will not fit down inside the spring recesses on top of the cylinder head without a slight enlargement. Our spring recess cutter will do this quickly and easily, using a 3/8" or 1/2" drill to power it. The cutter is refundable for credit less a $25.00 resharpening charge.
(3) PAECO MGA/MGB springs and retainers must be used together.
