JET COATING

Why Jet Coating?

Exhaust headers represent a substantial financial investment, and we all want our headers to last and be attractive for a long, long time. Standard mild steel headers may last for a number of years before corrosion eats them away, but they unfortunately lose their initial shiny appearance fairly quickly.               Formerly, the only solution was to have headers made up in stainless steel, which did the job, but is hideously expensive. Now, modern technology has provided another solution that not only does a better job than stainless, but costs a lot less. That solution is jet-coating.

Jet-coating consists of thermal-spraying the headers (or any other part) with a nickel-composite material that will not corrode. This coating is applied at a high temperature through an oxy-acetylene flame and forms a molecular bond with the steel surface. The rust monster is defeated forever!

Jet-Coating looks great in color !!

Jet-coating gives the headers a uniform, rugged, matte appearance. The standard color is grey, which is the natural color of the nickel-composite material that is sprayed on. The other colors are available at a slight extra charge.
