Stop and go traffic, hard driving, and high performance engines put tremendous strains on the drive train of a car. The clutch is usually the weak link in the drive train, and is the first component to fail. Clutch replacement involves pulling the transmission or engine in order to get to it. If you are doing the job yourself, it is a dirty, thankless task, and if you pay a garage to do it, it is expensive.

    For only a few dollars more than the price of an anemic, stock clutch, you can have one of our heavy duty versions that will last for years. These clutches are quite "streetable" --- in fact, even a small woman can operate one without difficulty in spite of the higher plate pressure. Our clutches have been used extensively in SCCA, Drag, and Vintage racing, where car owners demand the best, and it has not been uncommon for a clutch to last for several seasons of hard racing. We put no HP limit on our Kevlar clutches. They will take whatever you can through them. Most stock clutches have no warranty at all on them, even for normal street use. TAKE A LOOK AT OUR WARRANTY!

    IF ANY ONE OF THE THREE CLUTCH COMPONENTS (PRESSURE PLATE, CLUTCH DISK, OR RELEASE BEARING) FAILS WITHIN SIX MONTHS OF THE DATE OF PURCHASE, THAT COMPONENT WILL BE REPLACED WITHOUT CHARGE, EVEN IF IT WAS USED FOR RACING. ALL THREE COMPONENTS MUST HAVE BEEN PURCHASED FROM PAECO FOR THIS WARRANTY TO BE IN EFFECT.

(1) Heavy Duty Pressure Plate - We install the strongest special heavy duty springs available, consistent with ease of driving and the strength of the plate frame. The pressure plate will bolt to you stock flywheel, with no modifications required and no new bolt patterns to drill.

(2) Heavy Duty Clutch Disk - These disks are covered with KEVLAR, the toughest clutch lining made. It is both bonded and riveted in place, and can withstand the utmost stress of racing, yet will provide enough slip to allow easy starts on the street.

(3) Premium Release Bearing - a high quality release bearing is provided to actuate the pressure plate and withstand the added pressure.

    You'll need one of these to install your new clutch and align the disk center hole up with the input shaft bearing. They are made of molded heavy plastic, and we stock them for almost any make of import car you can name.
